Create a pair of simple hammered, textured, or wrapped hoops. Afraid of the torch? This class is perfect! You can simply hammer, shape and forge your wire into beautiful earrings, no soldering required. However, if you want to make an earring with a post or simple shape on an earwire, the torch is still available to use.

Join us in the Dana Reed Designs studio for a relaxed, small-group workshop where you'll transform wire into a lightweight pair of earrings using traditional jewelry-making tools and techniques.

You'll learn how to form, shape, texture and finish the wire by hand to create a pair that's completely your own. Each earring is formed from one continuous piece of wire, creating a simple design that threads directly through the ear.

No previous jewelry-making experience is necessary. With only four students per workshop, you'll have plenty of individual guidance along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Your $150 workshop fee includes hands-on instruction, use of all tools and equipment, and copper for learning, practicing and creating your earrings.

STERLING SILVER UPGRADE

Ready to work in sterling? After learning the techniques in copper, you can choose to create your finished earrings in sterling silver for an additional materials charge.

WHAT TO WEAR

You'll be working with real metalsmithing tools and a torch, so please wear closed-toe shoes and avoid loose clothing. Long hair should be tied back.
